Business Development Marketing

The unit is in charge of the processes for identifying customer needs while creating, communicating, and delivering value products and services to them. The unit is also charged with the development, maintenance, and enhancement of customer’s relationship management (CRM) at AIRC.

Marketing Procedure

External communications

External communication on marketing issues including invitations to attend field days, shows, exhibitions and other events will be received and read by the DAIRC and then marked to marketing unit for action.

Shows and Exhibitions

Schedules for attendance will be prepared and forwarded to the Director for consideration. These will include participating officers after consultation with the director.

Marketing officer will requisition, count and pack books and DVDs from stores and Video unit for display and sales.

These will then be handed over to officers participating at the exhibitions. Products for external sell will not be taken from the shop but must be requisitioned from the stores directly.

The unit remains accountable for all materials taken from the station for sale or marketing.

Records of sales and any unsold materials will be returned to the marketing unit.

The marketing officer will prepare schedules for subsistence of participating officers to be process as per financial Procedures.
